Week 13

After taking this picture I started to wonder why I thought it was a good idea to take and post weekly pictures. BUT I am over the fact that they may not be attractive to my eyes and know it will be interesting to watch the growth of my belly especially for family and friends that won't get to see it in person very often. So...here is the first of many more to come! Eventually, I plan to add more facts on the picture but there is nothing very exciting happening right now. 

Merry Christmas!

Prior to coming home for Christmas we had told our parents and siblings our big news on Facetime. Of course, my mom and Jason's dad cried! Oh, and Jason's sister! :) While we were at Jason's family Christmas they were looking at old black and white photographs when Jason slid in an ultrasound picture to surprise them! Then on Christmas day Jason wore this t-shirt (She's eating for two! I'm drinking for three!) to my family Christmas to announce to the rest of my family. 

First Doctors Appointment

Who knew it could take so long to get an appointment with an OB! The doctor I normally see is about 30 minutes away without traffic but when leaving appointments during rush hour it takes  about an hour and a half to get home. That is fine when it is only once a year, but I knew with going once a month I would get annoyed with the commute. So, I decided to look for a new doctor closer to home. A big thanks to Annette and Amber for their recommendations which made the process so much easier.  The first two doctors I wanted did not have openings until the end of December when we would be home in Michigan or January! I was able to get an appointment with another doctor in the same practice and I really liked her. Jason and I went to our first doctors appointment on Thursday, December 12th.  We were able to see Baby Watson moving all around during the ultrasound! The estimated due date is July 6th, 2014!
