Kennedy-

Where, oh where, have the past 6 months gone? Happy 1/2 Birthday!

Just after 5 months you started solids. You tried avocados, sweet potatoes, carrots, and prunes. And, you enjoyed all of them.

We had the whole week off from work and daycare for Thanksgiving break. Grandma, Grandpa, & Aunt Bev were here from Wednesday-Sunday. We ate dinner at the Donkey, cooked the turkey outside in the beautiful sunshine, missed the Uptown fireworks, shopped in Rice Village, spent the day at the Renaissance festival, and got lots of love and attention.

After Thanksgiving break, you went back to daycare for 3 weeks and then we will have two weeks off for Christmas break. You love your teachers Ms. Myra, Ms. Maricela, and Ms. Valeria.
  • December 20th we flew back to Michigan for two weeks.  You finally got to meet Uncle Matt, Parker, Bentley, Cruz, and Jackson.
  • December 21st, you were baptized at the First United Methodist Church. You had lots of aunts, uncles, and cousins there to celebrate!
In 6 months of life you have visited 5 different states-Texas, Florida, Illinois, Michigan, and Indiana.

In the next two weeks you will get to meet a lot of family and friends. We can't wait!

I love, love, love you! xoxo

*Your 6 month shots and wellness checkup was pushed back until January 6th instead of December 22nd because we were in Michigan.

Waiting for your shots! You cried during the shots but stopped as they were done.
You karate chopped the paper with your arms and legs!

5 Months

Grandma Rutenbar had a birthday!

Trick or Treating with Lyla

First time in your jumper.

You look like your cousin Bentley!

Kennedy Jayne-

Month 5 has flown by! We enjoyed our last week together before I went back to work and you started daycare. For Halloween you dressed up as a mermaid and went trick or treating with Lyla. You actually slept in the stroller most of the time!

November 3rd was the big day…daycare! Your mom had a few tearful drives as she drove to work after dropping you off but each day got easier. It definitely helps that we LOVE The Wiggle Room! Every time we drop you off and pick you up you are happy and not crying! Your dad came with us twice the first week to drop you off but he decided that was too hard on him and he will stick to picking you up! J

Your dad is an awesome dad! I’m not sure what I would do without his help. You name it he does it-changing diapers, washing bottles, helping at bath time, sucking boogers out of your nose, gets up in the middle of the night, keeps you by himself, etc.  I love watching the two of you play together and especially the big smile you get when you see him.

We are looking forward to-
*Grandma & Grandpa Watson and Great Aunt Bev coming to visit for Thanksgiving!
*Starting solids!
*Christmas vacation-flying to Michigan for 2 weeks!

Average daily schedule-
5:40 - wake up & get dressed

7:00-4:15 -@ daycare. You eat 4 ½ ounces every 2 ½ hours and usually nap 2-3 times for a total of anywhere from 30 minutes to 3 hours. Your reports always say you are happy, smiley, friendly, or sleepy.
5:00 –get home and play. Take a nap. Play some more. Take a bath every other night.
7:00- nurse
7:30-bed time. Lay you down in your crib awake and you fall asleep.
